The hotel is a quick walk to Metro Line 1 at Nation, making it convenient for the Gare de Lyon and other stops on the Right Bank. You are 10 minutes from Bastille and 15 from the Louvre. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our double room was very clean and quiet even though it faced Boulevard Voltaire. The double glazing was effective at keeping out noise, as were the curtains. The room had a comfortable king size bed, soft sheets, and good pillows. Plenty of space to hang clothes and a safe which was big enough for a laptop and a large camera. The desk was large enough to work at despite the coffee machine. There was a good selection of coffee and tea plus real cream which means not having to pay 12 for breakfast. And the refrigerator kept our bottle of wine nicely chilled. A modern bathroom and large for Paris. The usual French shower tub combination with a glass shower 'curtain' which means water runs out onto the floor. Be careful when showering because, as always in hotels, when someone else uses water you may be suddenly too hot or too cold. The hair dryer kept cutting out when it got too hot. And though the toilet paper was plentiful, there were no facial tissues. The area has recently installed fiber so internet speeds are high once connected. We needed help with the connection as neither Safari nor Firefox could load the 'splash screen' with login info nor could our iPhone's. Finally, with the help of the desk staff we connected our laptop using Chrome and the phones by going into the 'Settings' menu. The staff told us that they were working on this, and it most likely be fixed within the next month.
