The doorman welcomed us with a inviting smile and took our heavy bags out of our hands and wheeled them into the glamorous hotel for us. At the desk, we had a choice of a drink, as well as discussion of why we were there. When we told them we were on our vacation, we had our room upgraded to the luxury room (free of charge). The hotel itself smells wonderful and has loads of character. Each floor contains a different 'theme' and the corridors are filled with interesting relics and stylistic layout. We stopped in the bar for a drink, which was amazing in itself - the drinks served here are special and flavourful. Surrounding the hotel are the unique sights of Paris, all within walking distance. In case you needed to see other areas of Paris, the metro station is very near, and the main train station could be a short taxi ride away at a reasonable cost.
